Esme Lansdowne is a Cornish artist based in Penzance, UK. Raised in St. Ives, she grew up immersed in Cornwall’s rich artistic heritage and its rugged landscapes, which continue to shape her creative practice. Primarily a painter, Esme also works across assemblage, sculpture, sound, and film, producing work that is driven by process and materiality. By utilising natural pigments sourced from the landscapes she inhabits, Esme explores themes of place, home, and belonging.
An emerging artist with a growing reputation, Esme has exhibited widely in the UK and internationally. Her debut solo exhibition ‘A Soft Landing’ was presented at Penwith Gallery in 2025, where she was awarded ‘Young Penwith Artist of the Year’. In 2024, her exhibition ‘Intertwined Narratives’ at TwentySix Gallery, Wellington, marked her international debut in New Zealand and featured works created during her residency at Driving Creek Pottery in the Coromandel. Her work has been featured at galleries such as Anima Mundi in St Ives and the Tyler Gallery in Mousehole.

Standard shipping takes 2-4 working days and will be £3.95 for most items.
Original artwork
Original art is sent via a specialist fully insured art courier. This is a UK wide flat fee of £135. However, if you would like to arrange your own courier, or if you are happy for your new purchase to be sent via Royal Mail at a lower price please get in touch with the team at enquiries@createcornwall.com before purchasing your item.
Please note, we cannot take responsibility for any damage or loss of artwork that has not been sent via our fully insured courier.
Jewellery
Items over £500 will be sent tracked and insured for a £15 shipping fee.
