"What I dream of is an art of balance, of purity and serenity, devoid of troubling or depressing subject matter, an art of which could be for every mental worker, for the businessman as well as the man of letters."
During the last decade of his life, Henri Matisse used two simple materials, white paper, and gouache to create his works of wide-ranging colour and complexity. A pair of scissors was the tool Matisse used to transform paint and paper into a world of plants, animals, figures, and shapes.
In the session, we encourage you to unleash your creativity and meditative state, play with colour and minimal shapes and compositions, and we will provide you with gouache paints, variety of paper and scissors to allow you to create your own masterpiece.
